A Little Subway History
The first Subway restaurant opened in 1965 and we have been
franchising since 1974. Subway time-tested methods and procedures
take the guesswork out of starting a new business, and make opening
and running your store systematic. For the last ten years, the
Subway franchise system has opened approximately 1,000 stores a
year, and now has over 31,000 stores open in all 50 states and more
than 90 countries worldwide. This growth has yielded numerous benefits for all
Subway franchisees, including:
